What is ISACA?

The Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), is a recognized global leader in IT Governance, control and assurance.  It is a professional, technical, and educational organization dedicated to being a single-source provider for those concerned with the effective governance of information and its related technologies. With over 23,000 members in more than 160 chapters and over 100 countries, ISACA is a central source of IT control practice standards the world over. Quality publications, certifications, standards, research and analysis, conferences and seminars are the means by which ISACA strengthens the capabilities of IT professionals throughout the world.

 The CISA and CISM Certifications 

The Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and the Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) are certificates for professional recognition.  They are highly respected and they provide the holder a sense of personal pride. 

 CISAs has gained worldwide recognition as experienced IS audit, control or security professional and are highly sought after for their experience, dedication and commitment. With the CISA designation continuing to grow in stature and influence, those who hold this designation join a network of professionals known for their technical proficiency and personal dedication. The exam is provided once a year, in June, and a CISA Review course is locally provided by our Puerto Rico Chapter from February to May before the exam. There are approximately 40 CISA professionals in Puerto Rico.

 CISM certification began in 2003, to recognize security managers and IT security auditors for their experience, knowledge, dedication and commitment. There are almost 10 CISM professionals in Puerto Rico that joined the network of professionals known for their technical proficiency in the security issues and regulations. The exam is provided once a year, in June.

ISACA Puerto Rico’s 20^th Anniversary Celebration

The ISACA Puerto Rico Chapter is now celebrating the 20 years in Puerto Rico.  There are 150 active professionals from the local community in Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, and US Virgin Islands.  They work  in auditing, IT consulting, accounting, fraud, security and service areas.  Become a member and obtain special discounts at the Isaca bookstore, and our conferences and seminars.
